BPD: BITTER PILL, DOC

'BITTER PILL, DOC'

Am I borderline?
I just think of Madonna.
We're not doing this.

My case-file says thus:
"Lives in Anxious Avenue."
No more to be said.

I will self-define:
"Simply over-sensitive"
Write it down, okay?

Physicians? No thanks.
So: No To Diagnosis.
I seek sweet escape.

Accord? Very well.
A longer conversation.
See you tomorrow.

    1. Thank you. 🙂
Haha I’d rather no-one felt similar, but at the same time it’s good to have that sense of solidarity. 🙂
By the way, I love that Jung quote on your main page. A very wise man. 🙂

      1. Loll I wish I didn’t relate either 😉 this is all very new to me, I’ve been holding so much in for the last 9 months, it feels good to bring it into the light, I know that’s where we heal. Thank you for your support, it means so much to me.

      2. You’re most welcome. I’ve had two narcs myself in my life, and know how it causes so much damage. 😦
I’m glad you’ve managed to release some of those feelings… I’m new to this too and, while scary, it is healing.
Keep sharing. You’re doing great. 🙂

      3. Thank you Buffy. You gave me a great idea as an addition to my new blog. I love Carl Jung… I’m going to start a section with my most favorite Jung quotes. Here’s one of mine “Knowing your own darkness is the best method for dealing with the darknesses of other people” sorry you had to go through it too not only once but twice. But happy you survived it!

      4. Thank you… but yes, I survived, and will be better for it — as will you. 🙂
A lovely Jung quote: I don’t know many, but rather like the one my recovering alcoholic friend told me about: “Spiritus Contra Spiritum”. I don’t know if you know it?

  1. Silkworth, Jung, Bill W and Dr. Bob. Do you know that the first 164 pages have not changed since 1939 ( I think it was 1939 lol) . Why? Because it works if we work it 😉 I love this “Trust God, Clean House, Help Others” Dr Bobs prescription for a good life. I remember it.. best prescription I ever received.. when I work it, it works

  2. I put together almost 9 years of a solid recovery. I learned by ‘kitchen table’ one on one, BB life variety sobriety, aka big book thumper lolll .. then I threw it all away.. making my way back to the good life. 😉My BB is weathered, that damn built in forgetter is brutal, but not as brilliant as the Narcissist. Not placing blame, I made a conscious decision to take a drink, I didn’t pound my fists on the bar…. I went willingly.

    1. Ah, that’s quite a story… but I don’t think that going back to the ‘good life’ is throwing it all away? (Do forgive my ignorance in this.) You succumbed to a temptation of sorts, but you’re ultimately still moving forward… that’s admirable in itself. Many don’t move forward in life, at all!

    1. Haha you are too kind! To be honest, reading more about you on your pages, I feel I should have been more savvy, regarding AA, the BB, etc.
I’m from the UK… my ‘contact’ page should give you the email address? And I’m happy to reply. Let me know if not. 🙂

    1. Ah, I’m sorry… I think I have, yes: if you go into ‘blogs I follow’ on your dashboard I think you can decide whether to get email notifications from someone, or not.
(That’s the theory, anyway… I get very confused with tech in general!) Worth a look though.
And thank you, I’ll consider what you said as a compliment. 🙂

      1. Ah, that’s interesting… I don’t want to die where I’m living at the moment. I’m not sure why that is so for either of us?
Did you know, when I was young (1980s), the word “Russia” was not on either my map or my globe? An odd time!

      2. Ah… I will admit, I thought you were a lot younger than me!
It’s important to know the difference between “Russia” and “USSR”, but the western press often didn’t know the difference! 😦
(Long ago, I had a Ukrainian friend who enlightened me, by the way.)
